New event registrations open every Monday throughout the summer, with announcements sent via email to all Summer Session students.
Movie Night at the Rutgers Cinema
Enjoy the latest films at the Rutgers Cinema for free this summer! Registration includes a ticket, popcorn and a drink for (1) person! Choose from one of three movies, with titles chosen closer to the event date.

Summer Session Kick-off BBQ
Kick off Summer Session with free food, music, and Rutgers swag at our Welcome Summer Barbecue! The event will be held on Morrell Street (next to the College Avenue Student Center) from 12-2 PM.

New Jersey International Film Festival: Weekend 1
Enjoy the New Jersey Film Festival from home! Offered in a hybrid format with online and in-person screenings, the NJ Film Festival Summer 2024 schedule will feature an amazing lineup of independent, classic, international, and experimental film and video screenings all weekend long! Voted "Favorite Film Festival" by Jersey Arts.
Tickets are valid for only (1) screening during the Film Festival.

Wellness Series: Yoga Flow
Join us for a night of stretching and stress relief as your certified instructor guides you through a Yoga flow. Restoration and deep relaxation for all levels - beginner through advanced! Held in-person at the College Avenue Gym in New Brunswick.
*Be sure to bring a yoga mat or a towel!

Paint & Plant Night
Participants will follow our live-streamed class from wherever they are to plant and learn about their very own succulent! Your host will guide you through painting a ceramic pot, planting your succulent, and caring for it for years to come. All supplies will be shipped to the address listed on your registration including paint, brushes, pots, and plants.

Baseball Game: Mets vs. Nationals
Come watch the New York Mets take on the Miami Marlins at the Citi Field in New York! One ticket per student, with tickets will be sent after verification of RUID and Summer Session registration.
Please note: transportation is NOT included. By registering, you must able to secure travel to the game on your own.

Join Rutgers Recreation for a morning paddle on the Raritan River as you take in a unique view of the city! Please ensure you bring a towel, snacks, and PLENTY of hydration.
