Attendance

Prompt and regular class attendance, with preparation adequate for full class participation, is expected of all students. Exceptions to this rule may be made in case of illness and in other justified instances.

Nevertheless, students are responsible for all missed course work, assignments, and examinations. It is the policy of the university to excuse without penalty students who are absent because of religious observance, and to allow the makeup of work missed because of such absences. A student absent from an examination because of required religious observance will be given an opportunity to make up the examination without penalty.
