Mail & Document Services
Mail Instructions for Continuing Students:
During April, notify your campus post office of your intent to continue your studies throughout the summer. BPO, CPO, DPO, and RPO students will continue to use your assigned address from the school year and your mail service will continue as it did during the school year. LPO students will have their mail and packages sent to either the RPO or BPO post office, based upon the student's preference.
For those students with classes scheduled on the College Avenue Campus and who do not have an assigned College Avenue (RPO) mailbox -- your mail can be forwarded to the Rutgers Post Office (RPO) located in Records Hall from another post office (BPO,CPO,DPO, or LPO), where it will be maintained in an “on-call” manner. To pick-up your mail, just provide proper identification at the window. It's easy to set up -- visit your current campus post office and let them know you would like to pick-up your mail at the Rutgers Post Office. It is not necessary to change your address!
Mail Instructions for Visiting/Summer Students:
Visiting/summer students should go to the Rutgers Post Office (RPO), which is located in Records Hall on the College Avenue Campus. Once there, RPO employees will review the procedures for receiving your mail. This process will include completing/submitting a postal locator card, which contains the student’s permanent mailing address. To ensure timely and accurate delivery, mail should be addressed per the following address template for New Arrivals/Summer Students:
STUDENT'S NAME
SUMMER SESSION STUDENT
RUTGERS UNIVERSITY
38000 RPO WAY
NEW BRUNSWICK NJ 08901-8880
Since summer courses are of short duration magazines, newspapers, and like matter should not be sent to the above address. Packages should be limited to only academic materials.
Services provided by the Rutgers Post Office mirror those found in any U.S. Post Office, including the receipt and delivery of incoming U.S. mail.
Please call (732) 932-2143 ext. 4114 if you have any questions and/or concerns.
