Animal Nutrition (Online)
Have the tools to ask the right questions when faced with a new species, feed, or situation.
Animal Nutrition will cover three general topics: the digestive anatomy and physiology, biochemistry of nutrients, and feeding of animals in different physiological states.
This course will be taught by Dr. Perri Stark who received her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania. Summer 2017 will be her 10th anniversary of teaching this course. "Because it's an online course, students can work at their own pace," states Stark.
A science background is needed for this class; General Biology and General Chemistry are prerequisites. This course meets the admission requirement for veterinary medicine schools that require an undergraduate course in animal nutrition, however, it is not restricted to prevet students.
