3. I AM A STUDENT AT ANOTHER COLLEGE. ARE THERE SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS I SHOULD MAKE TO ATTEND IN THE SUMMER?
Summer Session courses are open to academically qualified students. Rutgers is accredited by the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges, and its summer courses are drawn from regular undergraduate and graduate offerings. Summer Session credits are regularly transferred to many other colleges, however, most colleges require prior approval of transfer credits. Therefore, you should check the transferability of each course with the appropriate official from your college before you register. Please do not send approval forms to Rutgers. Rutgers cannot guarantee the amount or kind of credit which will be granted by another institution for any course taken at Rutgers. Students are responsible for requesting a transcript to be sent to their home institution. Transcripts may be requested online at http://registrar.rutgers.edu or at the Registrar's Office, 65 Davidson Road, Administrative Services Building, Room 200F.
4. IF I AM A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT, MAY I TAKE A SUMMER COURSE?

Students are expected to meet all course prerequisites listed in a course description.
7. IS THERE A MAXIMUM NUMBER OF CREDITS I CAN TAKE IN THE SUMMER?
Students are generally limited to 12 credits during the Summer Session. Rutgers students should contact their dean's office if they wish to register for more credits than the registration system permits. Approved registrations beyond the established maximum must be accomplished in person at the Registrar’s Office.
Visiting students should discuss summer enrollment with an academic adviser at their home institutions. Visiting students wishing to obtain a credit overload must send written permission from their respective dean to the Office of Summer and Winter Sessions.8. I AM A VISITING STUDENT. HOW DO I OBTAIN ON-CAMPUS COMPUTER ACCESS AND OTHER RELATED WEB SERVICES?
Rutgers University has a number of computing facilities for Summer Session students. These include comprehensive computing labs at several locations around campus, central systems for personal email and web hosting, and dialup facilities for off-campus access to the University network. Computing resources are available to registered Summer Session students during the period when their courses are being held and for a brief time thereafter.
Summer students who have registered for a course may create accounts for themselves just prior to the beginning of Summer Session, typically during the latter part of May. To do so, students should go to the website http://oit.rutgers.edu/services/account/quick.html and follow the appropriate prompts (links). Computing Services recommends creating accounts while in a student computer lab at Rutgers University, where immediate help is available for any questions that may arise. Please note that in the account creation form, Summer Session students should choose account type "Summer Student" from the account type pull-down menu.
Further information about computer facilities at Rutgers University is available online from the Office of Information Technology (OIT) website at http://oit.rutgers.edu.
9. WHAT DO I DO IF I WANT TO ATTEND A COURSE, BUT DO NOT WANT COLLEGE CREDIT?

Students must inform the New Brunswick Registrar’s Office of this selection at the time of registration (see contact information above).
