Rutgers Language Institute

During the Summer Session, the College Avenue Language Lab provides support services to students enrolled in summer language courses. The lab contains a variety of audio materials to accompany foreign language texts from first through third year level of instruction. In addition, multiple-level instructional video programs and supplementary cultural and literary videos, including foreign language films, are available. The lab also provides access to instructional and game based CD-ROMs, foreign language word processing, and the Internet. Laboratory Assistants, who are skilled in one or more foreign languages, staff the facility. Assistants distribute materials, monitor students and help students with lab assignments, assist instructors with lab classes, and manage the home study cassette duplication service.
